General information on the assembly system
Here you will find information on the registration procedure for public assemblies or demonstrations

Assemblies, processions and demonstrations are regulated by the Basic Law and the Assembly Act. Assemblies and processions must always be registered 48 hours before they are publicly announced. To do this, please use the form "Registration of a public assembly/elevator in the open air" and send it completed by post, fax or e-mail to the following address, observing the 48-hour deadline:

District police authority Siegen-Wittgenstein
Directorate ZA - Department ZA 11

Email: versammlungsrecht.siegen-wittgenstein [at] polizei.nrw.de (versammlungsrecht[dot]siegen-wittgenstein[at]polizei[dot]nrw[dot]de)
Fax: 0271 7099 2166

Outside normal office hours or at weekends, please contact the police control center directly at:

Email: poststelle.siegen-wittgenstein [at] polizei.nrw.de (poststelle[dot]siegen-wittgenstein[at]polizei[dot]nrw[dot]de)
Phone: 0271 7099 0
Fax: 0271 7099 4444

The police will advise you as the registrant on the details of the assembly. In the event of ambiguities or more extensive planning requirements, you will be invited by the police to a cooperation meeting in which ambiguities can be clarified and any problems solved together. Depending on the type and scope of your assembly, you may have to expect restrictions, such as the provision of stewards to ensure order within the assembly. The assembly may also be banned or dissolved if, according to the apparent circumstances, public safety or order is directly endangered during the assembly.

The form for registering an assembly or an open-air procession can be found on the right-hand side under "Downloads".
(Note: If you intend to send the form electronically, select the PDF printer!)

In addition, there is the option of submitting a meeting via an online form. You can find the corresponding website here:
