Residential burglary radar for Siegen-Wittgenstein

We inform you here about the ongoing development of burglary crime in Siegen-Wittgenstein and give you an overview of where burglaries have occurred in our district. The list is compiled once a week (on Mondays) and differentiated by affected municipalities.

The residential burglaries of the past week are shown on the overview map (residential burglary radar). The exact streets and house numbers of the crime scenes are not visible for data protection reasons.

In addition to the residential burglary radar, we also report on residential burglaries in press releases. These provide further details on individual crimes, crime scenes and possible suspects.

Secure your home!

Be alert!

Dial 110!

These are the three key recommendations for all citizens in the fight against home burglars.

The Siegen-Wittgenstein police want people in our region to feel safe in their own four walls. This includes being informed about the ongoing development of burglary crime. We hope that our citizens will become even more concerned with the issue of burglaries when they see that there has been a break-in in their "neighborhood". We are thinking, among other things, of improving material door and window security, of vigilant neighbors ("neighborhood watching") and of immediately dialing "110" in the event of suspicious perceptions.

In this respect, the Residential Burglary Radar is an addition to the "Riegel vor! Safe is safer." It is intended to show where burglaries have occurred in the recent past and thus also indirectly contribute to solving these crimes. Investigators from the Criminal Investigation Department hope that the burglary radar will also provide relevant information from possible witnesses in connection with these crime scenes.

Further information on protection against burglary is available by telephone during normal office hours from our Commissariat für Kriminalprävention on 0271/7099-4800 or on our campaign page "Riegel vor! Safe is safer!"

On the right-hand side you will now find the current burglary radar...
